It stands for Only Connect Copy, inspired by EM Forster’s 1910 novel Howards End (yep, no apostrophe) in which Margaret – played by Emma Thompson in the film – is preparing to give a talking to a man who ‘doesn’t notice things.’ Forster tells us what she intends to say.

Only connect! Live in fragments no longer.
Hard to find a better way to communicate the art of copywriting than that!
The world (particularly the internet) is awash with bad copy. Don’t add to it.
Be economical and efficient. If you can say it in less, you’ll stand out more.
Use words to their full effect and meaning. Make them work for you.
Connect with your audience. Write for the audience you’re trying to communicate with.
Don’t get hung up on grammar. We’ll write it correctly (obvs). The most important thing is clarity of message.
ChatGPT is really useful (wins understatement of the century). If you’re not confident with your copy it can help you to become a better writer. But it isn’t always right for every project. For example, it can’t give you the latest data that you need for a compelling report or presentation. But, yes, it can save you a lot of time. It’s knowing how to use it (we’re happy to show you). If you’re looking for something more human/original/beautiful/compelling, then you’ve come to the right place.
